Hero Bases are copper jettons with a base partially covered in velvet, leaving an 8-mm-diameter circle in the center made of a nickel-copper foam composite.

This reduced diameter allows standard-sized miniatures to be placed on them while minimizing the contact area with the screen, thereby increasing the precision of Hero Base placement.
