Gen2 Digital Map Case design review :
The ''heatbox'' is a major design challenge flaw involving a heat-generating device encased in a virtually hermetic box. The inability of the heat to escape will then have a destructive effect on the device, producing heat that damages inner-components and results in a shortened useful life. All TV produce heat. A simple TV trapped in a wooden box sealed by a plexiglass is therefor a ''heatbox''. The Gen2 Digital Map Case is specifically designed to remedy this effect by allowing heat to exit the box vertically, bypassing the TV via the carved-in exhaust.
All connections are located on the rear of the Gen2 DigitalMapCase. Thanks to the small polylastomer feet, all wire can run freely under the Gen2 Digital Map case. Access to the power supply and all possible connections to the TV is via the large openings at the rear of the unit, which also allow easy replacement of the hot air that naturally escapes vertically through the carved-in exhaust.

*When you say portable how portable is it?
A handle on the rear of the MapCase makes it easy to carry, and the handles dug into the frame make it easy to remove from the table. No need to squeeze your finger in the small room underneath the Gen2 Digital Map Case.
* Is it possible to change the plexiglass in case I accidentally make a big scratch?
Absolutely, the plexiglass sheets are not trapped in the frame and the only tool you'll need to dismantle the plywood at the back is a phillips screwdriver. You'll then have access to the easily removable television, and finally to the plexiglass sheet
* If there is dust trapped in between the plexiglass and the TV, can i clean it by myself?
Sure, the same way you may replace the plexiglass you can have access to it for a big clean up after years of use!
